About the Works
Q. There is water seepage or staining on the piece. Is this a defect?
A. This is not a defect. It is a natural characteristic created by the stone and sand particles contained in the raw clay. The way water seeps through is part of the unique character of this vessel. Please enjoy it as a dialogue with the piece. It can also be displayed as an art object.
Q. Does the piece come with a paulownia wood box?
Pieces priced at ¥30,000 or more come with a Paulownia Wood Presentation Box as standard. As each box is handcrafted by the artist after your order is placed, delivery takes approximately three weeks.
The artist wishes for you to “experience the energy of the vessel directly in daily life, rather than storing it away in a box.”
Display it, use it, and enjoy the resonance with the piece.
Q. Can I order a custom size or color?
A. As each work emerges from the artist’s sensibility and unconscious realm, we do not accept requests for specific sizes or colors. Please enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
Q. There are cracks or fissures. Is this a defect?
A. This is not a defect. It is a natural expression created by the coarse raw clay and Yakishime firing. The artist values this as part of the artistic range. Please enjoy it as the unique character of each individual piece.
Q. Is it safe to wash with detergent?
A. The piece has the characteristic of releasing dirt with water alone. This may also be a manifestation of the energy from EM and frequency treatment. If detergent is necessary, please use a mild neutral detergent. Avoid scrubbing brushes or abrasive sponges.
Q. Can I use a microwave or dishwasher?
A. Please do not use in microwaves or dishwashers. Hand wash gently.
Q. How should I store the piece?
A. Store in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Rather than keeping it stored away in a box, we hope you will display it in your daily space and experience the energy of the vessel directly.
The artist also says that “placing the vessel in natural settings—in soil, among grass, or fallen leaves—further enhances its appeal.” We encourage you to try this.
